If it's up for a vote, I'll go with the middle one. Lots to look at and think about there.

Hi Renee,
You have chosen beautiful work again. I love the picture of the lion, the monkey and the girl. I will have to go away and think about what the story could be.
Have a good weekend!

This blog is one of my regular hangouts. At least once or twice a week I have to pop by and admire the art you present on it. These images are fantastic. The second one elicited the response from my inner self: 'Don't leave me!'. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

Amazing art or what! I love their fat round faces and little tiny cute eyes.
Lovely to hear from your sister, it was so nice to read her message. Going to find it and write to her.

Love and hugs!

Renee, I opened your post and gasped, the first image is really striking, like from William Blake's or F Bacon's nightmarish world... but I love the third image, she's sweet, like Coraline. Thank you!! Polly

OMG, I'd do cartwheels and mad dances of unbridled delight and pride! OF COURSE you can use my paintings when you write about that wonderful young Doctor and his work in Africa. Oh, happiness and joy - you've made my day darling girl.

I, too, want to give the sad lion a rose and a song...

Where, darling Renee, do you find these extraordinary, thought provoking and beautiful pictures? You are surely a magician?

Hi There,
So glad to hear you feel the same.
I was just talking about that lump with my Husband.
It has not grown, but it is still there.
My Doctor, asked me to call this coming Monday if it had not gone away..
So Monday I will be calling for an appointment, It is making me very nervous.
I have never had anything like this.
There are still 2 breast lumps that the ultra sound picked up but are to small to tell what they are.
The radiologist stated i should go for a Breast MRI, but not doctor said, not to worry, since the others they did bio, were fine..
So now I am not sure I want to wait a year for my next Mamo. to have them other 2 checked..

I so wish they would find a crue for Cancer.
I have lost so many to cancer, it scares me so.
Praying everything is going well with you and your new treatments.

I feel so blessed to have stumble on to your blog..
Blessings, and Hugs
Tammy

Amy Crehore's work is wonderful! Of these three, I think the third one is my favorite. The expression on the child's face leaves one wondering.
All are fabulous however.

Wonderful May 1st, May Day to you Renee!

Ackkkkk - I'm late today...
The first one creeps me out in an alien sort of way - shivers.
The second one I had to look at for a while... I like it - sorta sad and longing there - I think it's interesting that the flowers on the right side are lighter in color than the ones on the left. Hmmmmm?
The last on - this artist always facinates me - I like the little things flitting by his face.
Hope your well today hon - things are calm here! Love you hon, Sarah

What wonderful choices of art you make, Renee. The third one reminds me of the people from a series of adverts for Lloyds Bank. I wonder if she's the artist for them? The first one is so scary and sad, a real BT nightmare. The middle is so thought provoking. The poor lion has a tear in his eye and the girl looks so frightened. I think she will be ok, she just needs to play and sing to the lion and the monkey can take the thorn out of his paw.

Ahhh, well that pic is a little weird for breakfast.

I have raided the cupboard UNTIL I go to the doctors/dentist re my teeth, I don't want an abcess if I can avoid it, I like my teeth IN my mouth.

Oh, how I loved Sweet Mango's poem! What a nice tribute to you, my friend. Hold on to hope and above all...have faith.

Thank you so much for your sweet words on my blog, Renee! I ♥ the word 'Grandma'!

I really like them all. But the last one says "Finding Something"...Finding something new or old for the first time. That bewilderment, amazement, and innocense. Love it....

Hmn the last one reminds me of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome where the eyes are set far apart.

I heard you are a sexy cursin' woman. Are you? Are you? You want to curse at me baby? Huh? Huh?

Bella Sinclair said...

YIKES! What kind of breakfast are you serving here today! No doubt, you were influenced by Vampyress Ces when you selected the first one. :)

Lunch is tantalizing. Oh, look. Even the grass does not want her to go. The first thing I saw was the ukulele. When I asked Emma what instrument she wanted to learn, she said the ukulele.

But I LOVE, LOVE dinner! Oh my, that is gorgeous. I love the rendering of that big beautiful head. The draping silky fabric in the background is sumptuous, sensuous. And I am tickled by the shadows cast by the stars. Gorgeous!

Hope you've been a good girl today. :)

Ces Adorio said...

It's all hype Renee. it's just a little black notebook. I will give you one too, then it will just be nothing but a black notebook but I will put little drawings on the pages and maybe salacious comments and some cursing too!

Ces Adorio said...

By the way, as a nurse, I would agree with Eli's observations. The eyes set far apart from each other is classic fetal alcohol syndrome characterized by brain damage but in art is it beauty!

And Bella, why am I the influence for the breakfast picture?

Bella Sinclair said...

OH. I forgot. If Ces is a vampire, she is one of those sultry, sexy, steamy vampiresses, the kind you actually beg to bite your neck.

Bella Sinclair said...

Oh, geez, oh geez! Renee, you have me ROLLING ON THE FLOOR! Win/win! BAAHAHAHA. The image...it BURNS!

Off I go...
to the Shinto...

Caroline said...

Some scary images this time! I often wonder what you type in as search words to come up with these!

I do love to bury myself in beautiful people's necks. Ooh my gosh, what a rush! I can't wait to meet Bella - the neck first! However, with you Renee, I will go directly for your heart!

Ces Adorio said...

Thank you bella. Wake up renee! it's 3:41 in the morning and I am hungry! Roll over baby and I am going directly for your heart! Hah! I love you!

I had to take a nap first so, I am sorry I was not able to play with you last night. Tsup! Mwah!

I think my favorite is the last one. I like the shadow and the way the artist has used light to reveal the subject's emotions..

You find the most spendid works of art, Renee. thank you.

These are some melancholy images, especially looking at them on a gloomy, rainy day.
