I was most intrigued by the last one, Coyote and Dog Spirits. Terri's website is really worth a visit - fascinating art work there! Thanks for sharing, Renee!

Hmmm...Fantasy Fridays are always so intriguing!
I like the first one - a castle in the sky.
The second one in interesting - a queen ant Momma
The third one is actually the one that kind of freaked me out! The deer looks okay, but I am confused by the other two!
Have a good weekend dear Renee. Hope the graduation was a wonderful afternoon/evening!

Love audrey

Renee, I received the beautiful book today and I can't thank you enough. I mean REALLY. It's beautiful and a gentle reminder to treasure the day. Aren't we blessed to know one another? I am certainly blessed by you and all these words just seem so, well, paltry in comparison to what I feel.

Thank you.

Hmmm. An odd set of pictures to wake up to. The middle one with the baby and the wraith. The child is clutching the blankets to his chin, yet looks strangely serene as he gazes up at that shadowy being.

I need my coffee.

Good morning Lovee. You were on my mind last night as I spoke with God until I drifted off to sleep. Such strange and interesting drawings...I wonder what I would draw if I had that gift. Probably little fuzzy animals. Sending you all my love, Deborah

Hmmmm facinating as always! I like the little serpent kitty - her art is growing on me!!
The child with the darkling - hmmmm kind scary - although the child doesn't seem to realize yet...beautiful interpretation of the darkling though!!! Wow
Hi hon - how are ya???
Love ya, Sarah

Okay, the first picture stole my heart: a cat with butterfly wings? Fan-tabulous!!! LOL!

Sending you beaucoup hugs for the weekend. I'm having computer problems at home (I'm at the library today), so I may not be posting for a few days. But I'll be thinking of you, my buddy! Blessings and Hugs and have a SUPER weekend!!!

This time Dinner is my favorite although Breakfast is magical. Lunch scares the crap out of me. Death coming after the baby...too gruesome. Very talented artist though, just dark and twisted ;)

How are you this fine weekend? Is Nathan on cloud nine?

I'm feeling a bit run down. I'm going to lay low this weekend so I'm up for my Uncles visit next week. After all, he's coming all the way from Ottawa! We Canadians are high maintainance ;)

I love all that artwork, but the last one is my favorite. I don't why, they seem sad and wanting to get out of the place they seem to be at the moment.
I wish you a happy and carefree weekend and may you smile all day. Take care. gloria

I love that first painting! I hope you have a fabulous weekend, Renee. We are having a wonderful thunderstorm here, with big KABOOMS. For some reason that makes me very happy. Thank you for the reminder on my blog - you are right. One hundred percent. xoxox :)

The first picture, an interpretation of an old fairy tale is spooky for what it says: those of us who send out vines and roots to connect with others, might find ourselves visited by trolls too. Ouch.

Stunning! I love the lady in the tower :)

dearest renee, i don't like any of these, although i admit the facial expressions on dinner interest me and pull me in. i'm happy to skip that lunch dish.

so that leaves me sending you a tsup and mwah and hoping you coast into a slow peaceful weekend. that's my plan too.

xoxo

How can there be this much unusual artwork in the world and yet I'm seeing it all here for the first time? There are a lot of twisted sorts out there. Whew! I'm glad.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner? Am I supposed to eat these? I can only have one meal? What if want all three?

Chrisy said...

Gosh I admire people who can make fantastical art like this! I think this is a gene that I'm missing... Hope you have a beautiful weekend girl...

renee, to answer your question--no, it seems like not at all. but i don't know what the future brings and maybe it will turn out to be 'yes' in ways i can't even imagine.

i like it when you just show up like this. i'm thinking of you.

xoxo

Wow--such wonderful images. The first two seem like dreams (and remind me of when I used to make drawings of my dreams) and the last one seems more primal--like it goes deep into some kind of collective unconsciouness. Thanks for posting them.

Second one is spooky!

Ciao my darling Renee, thank you for your Friday stash of evocative imagery.

Have a good weekend.

Wendy said...

I love the first one. The other two are spooky. But I do appreciate the artist's work. I wish I could even do stick figures that look like people. LOL!
