I would love it if a magic castle appeared in my room at night! Lovely deer too though the tree man is a bit scary. xx

I am new to this Fantasy Friday concept.
How intriguing.
There is something about the last image that I really love.....

Hi Renee, a lovely collection of pictures you have posted! Nice to catch up on your blog again, I hope you are keeping well. Sending you a big hug from an unusually snow covered south of England! Helz x

Hi Renee,

Love the new header! And like the three pictures.

I guess I am the odd one; I like the middle one the best. I think it is because it reminds me of Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are". I love that book.

xoxo

Cute. I love your new header. I have experienced a soul sister in this lifetime with whom I was twins in another. Who knows, I may write about it some time....

I love Andy Kehoe. And I love that first one with the castle in the room. You always find the most amazing art.:)
Stay warm my friend! Hugs to you - xox Pam

Continuing to pray for you sweet one, how are the bats? Gone I hope!

Good Morning Raven Sister..

I kept meaning to comment on the new header. You know I love love her work but this header is very disturbing to me. The red sky is foreboding, filled with fire and a feeling of doom. And the girls seem terrified. I find myself turning away from it until I get to your post.

Now, my two-cent interpretations.

B) What fantastical ambient lightin the church/dollhouse and from the candles! Is the lady in the bed dreaming, or is SHE the dream?

L) haha!! Okay, no matter how homely you are animals love you anyway! Or maybe the kitty used to climb a tree that it loved and now it has come to life for him.
I don't know. I got nuthin'!

D) Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. Now this is what I call a zen moment. We all need more of those!

Nice bunch today.

How's the bats? I heard someone in Quebec has sent them off to Newfoundland. Nobody wants the fuckers.

Oooh, I swore! ;P

xoxoxox
Love you!

Manon said...

and mom too. xoxo

I like the painting with the creature that has trees growing out of his ears. It should be called 'Self-portrait' by Corey James. Looks like I do when I wake up in the morning. And the black cat looks like my cat Luis.

Hope all is well with you in Cananananananada.

Angie Muresan said...

I hope this is a sweet morning for you Renee. Stay warm and bask in the love of your sweet husband and adoring friends.

I adore that first image so very much!

In just a few minutes I'll board a plane for Hawaii. My baby sister's getting married there this weekend. My mom just exclaimed how she's looking forward to the sun warm rays warming her bones and cancer ravaged body. And I teared up, of course. Immediately I thought of you, and of how healing that heat would feel. How I wish you could come along with us!

Hugs and love and kisses your way!!!

Beautiful new header Renee!

I'm in love with breakfast, Renee dearest. And lunch made me laugh. That cigarette hanging so nonchalantly....HA!

Stay warm. xoxoxo

Aw, Renee, that breaks my heart. You know, you can drag me into the shower, too.

I love the first picture. Reminds me of a scene from Pans Labyrinth or A Christmas Carol.

Karin Bartimole said...

Wonderful images for my mind to fantasize with Renee :)
btw, seems to me you keep it real, and in doing so, strength rises. I'm sorry you are suffering so - yet somehow that sense of humor came through. May all pitchforks miss their mark today. I'm home from my scan and settling in for a quiet afternoon, out of the cold. Wishing you some quiet, and improvement to bring calm into your body so that you may rest, without pain.
I love you,
Karin

What a GIFT!!!

Lets go to tea into that castle, in our nightgowns to boot. No one but the three of us, you, Jacquie and I, the rest may come later once we have shared things we only need to know ourselves.

Tea, crumpets, scones, tarts, clotted cream, I will bring my homemade jams and all my love to wrap you and Jacquie with it and sit by the fire, it must be a fire for us to warm our feet and talk into the night, until we fall blissfully asleep. One caveat: no bats allowed. I love you. LALF.

kj said...

you know honey, i have to agree with lo about the header. let's not go down that road renee. not now. god knows you're entitled, but together strong, please don't forget.

now to meals.

breakfast: magic

lunch: trust

dinner: innocence

i am thinking of your Mother today. that is where my prayers are going today.

oh! i'll be damned. for every prayer i send to winnipeg, two more appear. so i have more than i started with. so you and jacquie are now included.

kj said...

one more thing: i'm including camille too. no more getting overlooked, camille. we'll take care of that! :)

Dear Renee, you put Zdenko's illustration on your blog - ingenious or what!?
I root for you, I think about you and send you my positive energy. You have become someone very dear to me - I know we shall meet. Until then, be strong, fight and, simply, live.

Renee, these last few months must be the confluence of all the bad forces in the universe, all knocking at your door at the same time, creating a hurricane, a tsunami, dragging everything in sight.

Your nephew, your sister, your mother. You're in the center, watching the swirling, the eye of the storm.

Outside of it, are your husband and your children and grandchildren, holding their breadth, watching you battling, suffering with you and your sister, and your mother.

Take deep breaths. Pray.
You know how it feels when you stay centered and just concentrate on this moment.
This will pass.
This will resolve itself.
You can survive this.
You can live to tell about it.

Nothing prepares us for this much force and this blind suffering. Nothing.
But you have faith.
You have grace.
You have angels and archangels on your side.

Those two little girls on the header? They are changing the flow of the river.
Their hope and innocence is moving heaven and earth.

We will pray with you.
We'll stand by you.

Your Mom is tired. She has fought many other battles and can't fight any more. She will guide you from above, from a place with no pain.

Let her know how much she has been loved, how much she has influenced everyone.

That's how I would want to spend my last months. With love and stories of love. Tell her. And tell her life story to your grandchildren.

It's already a new cold day where you are. May this new day shine a peaceful light on you and yours.

Love from me to you, my sweet friend.
Tomorrow is here already.

And Annie said: The Sun will come out...

Renee...I SO love that new header of yours. Who does those again? I would love for them to create me one for my blog that is so powerful and speaks volumes/represents me and my blog like that. Wow!

And I love these fantasy photos. Especially the first one. My dreams are often within large houses. Some I recognize from ones I grew up in. Others? Well, I have NO CLUE where they came from. :D hahahaha

Love you tons! xo

Ces Adorio said...

I love all of these. I love dinner the most.

Dearest Renee, how can you slay the bats if you showed cute photos like those? They are bats nonetheless. Purge them!

Stay warm lovee. It's cold here. I know you phoo-phoo my temperatures here but I grew up in a country of 110.0F. I also got rid of all my winter clothes when I left New Jersey. So 28F is cold and my bones ache and my plants are dead. I think of you everyday Renee Love.

Ces Adorio said...

Good morning! How I love you! You have so many things weighing your mind and heart. The important thing is how you feel.

Ces Adorio said...

I understand it dearest! I appreciate it very much that you think of me that way. It is important! I love you and I did not sleep well. I had the most horrible dream. Maybe because of the milk I drank before bedtime.

Let's have breakfast - tenderly. Tsup!

Ces Adorio said...

BTW, do you know that geographically, you are directly above me.

I like that. I like that you are on top.

Ces Adorio said...

HAHAHHA! And you called me Tess instead of Ces. Hahahahah. Go get your tea. Tsup!

With me you are always on top. Tsup!

Ces Adorio said...

Oh BTW, I left a comment at Bella's directly below yours. Go read it. Now she knows.

Love Fantasy Fridays! Again, a great selection of artwork Renee!

Breakfast is beautiful, but for some reason I also find it a little sad. You wake up and have grand dreams for the day and maybe they don't always come to fruitition(sp?). Lunch makes me think of how I sometimes feel during the middle of the day. Maybe the day isn't turning out as great as I thought. I need a cigarette! LOL Dinner? Love it.
By this time, I've usually regained my equilibrium and once again have my head in the clouds abit.

Thank you my friend for your wonderful picks!

Love you!
