i want to start out by saying if i was an american, obabma would of had my vote, and really, it wouldnt of been close.

he's great to watch, and so nice to listen to, its easy to forget he's a politician. but lets remember he has professionals writing the script and slogan's, he's been preaching around the usa.

im not saying he doesnt believe in what he's preaching, but millions and millions of dollars were spent campaigning for one reason: to win the election. say what the majority want to hear, and avoid the things people dont want to hear.

i think its great that so many people are getting behind the "yes we can" slogan, but i think those out there who think he is capable of "saving the world" are going to be very dissapointed.

he is just one person representing one country. i dont think obama or anyone else deserves that kind of pressure.

and now for some obama dirt, or at least to show he has opinions that may not be popular with everyone:

in 2004, during the usa senate campaign, obama publicly stated he has no problem with civil unions for homosexuals, but because he is "christian", he does not believe in same sex marriage.

im not sure how popular that comment would of been in canada ?

all that being said, i think obama has the energy, charisma, intelligence and leadership to make a good run at being one of the best presidents in the history of the usa, and i wish him and all americans the best.

I think this is a wonderful day for all our American neighbours and I do believe he will make a difference for the American people and the rest of the world will feel his impact in a good way.

I love the American people and think they have a president they can be proud of. Wonderful day in history.
