Wednesday's Women No. 14
I really don’t know what to wear today. I’m thinking of a new expression, but I just don’t know which one fits my soul best.
I am hopeful because we have a new president. I am worried in case something horrible happens to him. I am happy, not because he is an African-American but because he is an American representing a new generation and new ideals. I am worried because there are still haters in the world. I am hopeful that there are more lovers than haters. I am hopeful he will stop the war in Gaza. I am worried he won’t be able too.
Okay enough already, that backwards/forwards thinking can go on all day.
I have been wearing indecision non-stop for months and it is time for it to come off. I am making a decision and taking it off today. And because I cannot face the world wearing a blank expression and because after listening to the new President’s speech yesterday, I feel a wee spark of hope in my heart.
I believe I will wear hopeful.

Beautifully said, I too will be wearing hopeful.
Plus Renee, you can't face the world naked. :) Naked lady looks like she is undecided what to wear. Point well taken. Oh you already proved you are a decision maker and quite good at it. Lets just send good karma to our new President Obama. Take care Renee and have a great day.
Hi Renee, just wanted to say thank you. My husband went to buy me the Tylenol Arthritis and I have very little pain right now. I even posted about it cause I felt so good and wanted to thank you. Go see. Take care and thanks loads.
i too will be hopeful and send good karma to the new president and his family ... since he is seems so genuine and caring about what family means as he is right in the throws of fatherhood at his age. he is also intelligent and we all know he has the whole package.
calm and hopefulness seems to be what was shared all over the world yesterday.

Wonderful post. You have stated our hopes & fears very succinctly! I'm happy you decided to wear a hopeful face and I hope it spreads throughout the world.

the art and photos that you post are so exceptional. I'm guessing that the paintings 'circling my head' and wednesday's woman #14 are created by you, no? fabulous work. I'm new fan.
Hi Renne,
Great post! I love the painting that you chose too.
I enjoy your blog very much.
Cheers to hope!

Thank you for your kind note, and you have voiced some of the same fears I have in your post. But, as long as we still have hope, that's all that matters in the end:) May hope prevail in your world!
Wonderful post! Hopeful is a good face to wear. Sometimes it's the hardest one to keep on. You go girl!
Unlike my sister, who got up at 3am to watch the inauguration, I slept soundly then watched it on the interwebs the next day. It was actually a lot more interesting than I expected it to be, but I must confess I skipped forward to the dance bit because I heart Beyonce... Obama and Michelle were so cute, nuzzling and talking to each other, it made me teary.

We see the love and hope in new thinking from the Uk.
I was so pleased for the USA.
We had a women although she was an iron maiden. We use to call her Maggi Thatcher the milk snatcher, she took free school milk out of schools.
Now free fruit or veg like carrot sticks are given to children to help their diet and they can drink water in class now. We pay £9.00 a term which is around 12 weeks of milk every school day. This is a good price.
How did I get onto milk, lol?
Anyway I wish USA and all who live in her a good solid and sharing heart future.
We will join you in wearing hope!
Hopeful is the perfect attire right now. Bravo, Renee!
I really love this piece Renee - and your wonderful back and forth, which I can SO relate to!!
Hope it's okay, I've linked you in my blog list :)

Beautifully written. I feel very hopeful as well!
Hopeful becomes you ;)
I love these words and feelings, even the back and forth. You have a wonderful way with words. This is a lovely image as well. And like another blogger asked, did you paint this and the image on your header? I love them both.
I hope you're having a gentle day.

Horray my computer is back up and running. Great post. I can see from the pictures of Obama and his family that they are wearing pride and confidence. Soon hopefully everyone will be wearing happiness.

I strongly recommend any of you to see the video that Gilighan sent in, just to see what it is like at the checkpoints in Israel.
It will take you outside of yourself.
Thanks Gil.

Wow. I've been reading your beautiful, painful words in your blogs and I'm speechless. I can't imagine how difficult your life is, and I'm amazed that you refuse to give up hope in spite of it all. I'm writing a book right now about how hope saved my life. Just a tiny seed can become enough to keep going. My hope is that you never give up hoping. Thanks for sharing your heart!
