But Sometimes

but sometimes when i’m standing
at the kitchen counter after dinner
and i look out the window at the dark
thinking of nothing,
something swims up.
tonight this:
your laughing into my mouth
as you were trying
to kiss me.

Kissing someone who makes us laugh is good, but if we're laughing at the way they kiss? NOT so much! ha!
Have a wonderful day sweetheart!!

I like it very much - life is full of such small and seemingly irrelevant thoughts. My best poems were created at the kitchen sink while doing the dishes. Obviously, these poems and thoughts never made it, through my soapy hands, to paper!

It's those funny, wierd little moments we'll always cherish, which say so much about what love is. Loved this, Renee.

Interesting, what comes into our mind when we let it go where it wants to.

First kisses, passionate kisses, gentle kisses, playful kisses, kisses from someone who knows us best. Each is wonderful and special in its own way. Loving someone we can laugh at, and with, is priceless.

The painting and poem are perfect together, once again. Thank you, dearest.

Love and hugs (and kisses),

Yes, our mind wanders when we are at our chores...Kisses are always worth remembering...Now, that's focussing on happiness. Love the painting too.

I love this - no one ever talks about it, but it's happened to me...except I'm the one who is usually laughing!

Thank you for inviting me; I would love to be gypsy #14, and am dreaming of the places we shall visit in France. We will go to the abbey whose photo I sent to you, and we will drink in all of the peace that is there. We will smell the fresh lavender & be transported by the color, and Katie will visit us (as a butterfly, like she did when we were there last summer). We will eat French delicacies and drink lovely young wine, and we will speak of true love and art and music and nature. What a time we shall have! I love you, my beautiful friend XOXO
