Have a happy day Renee

I love them all, especially the first one.

in the second one, I would have thought the wolf would be a man, but yes, I suppose we all have meek red riding hood as well as the wolf inside us all.

The third one is great - love the jewelry.

I will be planting some Flying fish and Winged frogs in my garden tomorrow.
Oh, I don't think I need my Loverman anymore. I just got my pet robot to paint my nails for me.

The first painting/picture is too cool.

Oh, Renee! I love these! The top one, especially, sings to me. I'm always amazed at what comes out of people's heads. What I wouldn't give to be able to be so random, so surreal.

And yes, the apple paring thing -- it's all true. And believe me, in those days, you wouldn't want to even look at an apple after it had been butchered by me. I've gotten better at it, though.

Happy Friday to you! xoxo

Hi Renee - I LOVE that second painting...it sings to me.
I am doing ok...the sun outside helps, as does the warmer weather. Rain isn't fun, but it is a part of getting warmer weather so I'll accept it...for now :)
I hope you are having a good day today (I only take things one day at a time, and it sure helps, I'll tell you, lol).
Take care, many hugs to you :)

Hmmm childhood playmates!! The first one has such a sweet face but her playmates seem cold and unaware of her. Seems that her life is too stark for such a sweet child.
Well the second one, Renee you know how much I love the Red Ridinghood tale - or should I say tail - did I say that?? Love this one. An older playmate of a different sort I'm thinkin'.
The third one was sweet - lots of childhood sweetness there - even the wallpaper. I loved the robots pearls. Wonderful Friday choices. I will enjoy my day/your day - Jim is going to have to suffer through "P.S. I Love You" or something equally chickie.
I'm glad you like my right eye - lol....Love you hon, Sarah

I KNOW! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, right? (Hehe, I cheated 'cos I saw your explanation on Lola's (yummy delicious hungry making) blog.) Love the first image - Dali-esque without being too, too scary.

Renee I just stopped by to say hi and howdy doo. Today is Friday and isn't that great. We are barbecuing tomorrow and putting more plants in. Today I am going to the post office, (mailing a couple bills), stopping to get potatoes so that I can make mashed potatoes. I got that idea from yaya when I saw the rolls she had on there yesterday. Mmmmm, those would go good with mashed potatoes. Hey Renee, have a great weekend.

Yes, rain is horrible to me...I hope it is dry and warm for you out in Winnipeg :)

Oh Renee, the famous thing is not true. I am not famous, nor have any desire to be famous. I just want to be happy and I am. Not to rule out being rich because of what I love to do. So fame, not really, money, heck yes! That will take the edge off when I pay the bills. Haha! I think there should be balance between the role of a man and a woman. However, in any relationship one person is always over-committted to a cause and marriage has many causes. It's not even a 50-50 division in my house. It's 80-20, 60-40, 10-90 or 100-100 depending on what it is. It's who can get the job done the best. The 100-100 is our committment to each other and our children.

These paintings are beautiful. I wish I could paint like Ceccoli. I often wonder what the artists are trying to impart. The second and the third are pretty much explicit but the first one, is surreal. How do you find these artwork?

Snowbrush said...

I can't be sure whether the wolf with Red is a boy wolf or a girl wolf, and I'm not even sure if Red really cares. Maybe she's about to burst out in song:

"I've had so many wolves before, in so many ways, he or she is just one more."

I really, really really love the first picture – I love it so much in fact I could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner … that babe must be one of King Neptune’s descendants…Artists amaze me – what is their thought process and where do their ideas come from?

Ces Adorio said...

Oh Renee, I keep meeting many interesting and funny people through your blog. I just met Snowbrush and he just blurred my reading glasses from his comments on my blog and here. Thank you. I thought the same thing about the wolf but I think he is a boy and a beautiful boy with a pretty face, one who I would have wanted to ravage me as Red. Grrr! Of course he and I should have at least been nineteen years old because I already would have graduated from college then and paid taxes so that made me an adult!

Renee, you are the best! The kids love their books. Emi, being 2, just wanted me to read hers over and over, but Isaac was sincerely touched by the gesture. He kept gasping and saying "Wow, someone in Canada got me a present!" :)

Ces Adorio said...

Yes! I too want to be eaten by the wolf - all of me, my brain first...

Oh what a wonderful day's feast!!

I finally have a moment to catch my breath and visit my friends. I hope you know I've been busy and not avoiding you. How egotistical of me! You have too many friends to be thinking, 'where the hell is Lolo?' Hah!! So funny!

I'm in love with Red Riding Hood interpretations and this one is one of the best I've seen. Wow!

The top one is wonderful. There's a terrific watercolor artists who has a painting with fish coming through the window too. Wait...I'll go get her link. Hold on, okay?
lalalalalalalalalalalalala..okay, I'm back! here's the link to her fish but you have to check out her whole blog. I have an original piece I bought from her!

Before I get into the heaviness of yesterday, how are YOU doing sister raven? Thanks for letting me know you got your goodies. They're not much but there's big love there ;)

Bailey was set free from her pain yesterday. It was gentle and peaceful but oh so hard for the owner. She was so brave in doing the right thing and trusting me, a stranger who was only asked to do a nail trim. She said she prayed for the right person to come and do the job. We talked about that, as if Bailey called me herself so she could have 'professional' eyes on her to see her real struggle. The owner feels terribly guilty for not seeing it, but I explained that it may have come on gradually and she's with her every day and didn't notice the changes. The important thing is that when it was called to her attention she did the right thing for the dog.
I called her last night to make sure she didn't feel alone and to reassure her once again. This is the hard part of my service. thanks for asking. My friends were so kind to be thinking of me as well as Bailey.

Well, I think I'll go make some dinner now. Salmon, sweet potatoes and salad. It's windy and cold today, winds whipping off the water with high white-caps. Not as cold as Manitoba though...a place I apparantly NEVER lived!! LOL ;)

Maybe if I get out of my alcohol stupor I'll remember my addresses!

Okee-dokee sister Raven, sleep tight. I'll catch you another time.

Ha, Renee! So. Would you prefer the young man keep his wolf costume on while he ravages you?

My parents are visiting for the week. We are having a lovely relaxing time all together. I hope your weekend is a beautiful one, love!

WOOOOOOO! (or should I be saying, Ah-woooooooo!) Lordy, girl, you are in fine form tonight. Wolves have long tongues, do they not? Make sure he's gentle when he nibbles.

Renee, I am here from God of Another World...Your art is fabulous... touches the childlike imagination in me... I love it. I am sorry to see that you have Inflammatory Breast Cancer...and even sorrier that it is stage 4. I completed chemo for breast cancer a little more than 1 year ago. I cared for my mother, who lived with us, until she died of three metastatic cancers--breast,lung, ovarian...they never identified the primary...she died just 10 mos. ago...all this to say, I have a little knowledge of the journey that you are on...my heart breaks...and I feel a connection to you...both through your struggle and your strikingly beautiful art...I am so glad that Michael featured you! I'm glad to find you...You carry me to a better world through your art...and my imagination takes flight...Thank you.

A lot of your posts inspire many of my posts.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Big hug,

Thanks as always for your encouraging words. You are such an inspiring person, giving out hope to others as you do. And to include humor is a gift. I'm just not a funny person, but I appreciate it in others. :)

Great art choices, too!
