Morning Renee,
Ya... there are days that I feel I'm just hanging by a limb. Most of the time I don't need any help but sometimes I'd like it. ; )
I thought I was the only one up at these early hours...

Are you, perchance, telling us you need help or just commenting on how so many of us deny our needs and rebuff help offered? Hope you are well and having a good weekend.

I hope you're not feeling like you're out on a limb. I know I'm only one of about three million people who will happily stand under the tree and hold you up. Or maybe you'd like to get DOWN! :) Lots of love to you, Renee! xoxox Pam

Who the heck has been watching me and drew my picture? Well this could not be more true most times. I do not know if it is a matter of pride, stubborness, or just not wanting owe anyone?
It is hard to ask for help or accept, perhaps because of the way we were raised? Of course more often than not people don't even ask.

Love the Fantasy pic's Renee

I just wnt for a gentle walk with my camera t photograph some Jonquild in front of the old ruin on our paddock and came back totally exhausted...had to sleep for a few hours before I could even eat lunch.
I wish you had a safety net under there.

Soooo know this feeling. I'm afraid I'm usually screaming about it, though! :-)

That would be me, hanging on that branch.

Thank you for the silent Saturday laugh, Renee. I hope that you're well.

kj said...

well, renee, i'll bet this will be claimed as a detailed self portrait by not just me. it IS me, of course, and it's not the hanging and holding on that gets me the most, it's the pride or protection or whatever of not letting myself ask for and receive a helping hand.

sometimes we just make it hard when it's not necessary...

oh boy...how many times have we all been this sweet little bundle?!?! why is it so hard for us to admit "ya know...I actually COULD use a little help"?????

Well, is that the Living Tree? Walk, Live, Love to the rhythmn.

This blog and all the "love" expressions written here on this comment sections are meaningless if you feel alone and can't reach out.

Breath to the rhythmn. Reach out, there is someone truly willing to help without all the hoopla.

You know who they are.

Good morning, Love. Feeling a little short today? No worries, I am tall enough to get you down. People stop me in stores all the time to get items off the top shelf. It's nice to be useful. All my love, Deborah

Oh, Renee ... Sending love ... We are all in this together ...

Last night I was on a Melissa Etheridge music binge ... I also watched some interviews of her speaking of her experience of having breast cancer ... The fire in her eyes was astounding and I thought of all the folks I've known who have encountered this disease ... You were one of them, and even though we've never met, your presence in the world has become one of my healing touchstones ... Loving you, dear heart! xoxo

Hi Renee,
We all have days that feel like that!
Thanks for popping by my blog. I know our winter is so very mild compared to yours, and I would love to come to Canada and even Alaska one day.
My partner, Steve had never even seen snow before. He is a city boy who grew up in Sydney. When I told him that we had ice on the puddles in the morning where I grew up in the country, he didnt believe me. I dont think he could handle canada weather at all.
If you ever need to thaw out, come and enjoy one of our Aussie summers. I would love to meet you!
Have a happy day! :-)

I do hope your day is better today. You were on a great high when your grandson was born so it is understandable that the downward slide went a little too far. You know so many peple love you and you make our life so much brighter. Hang on love, asoft downy pillow will surely appear under your feet.

Marion said...

Don't worry, Renee. There's so many of us out on that limb with you, it's gonna pop in half any minute now and we're all gonna break each other's fall. PILE UP!!!

Hugs, Love, Blessings & Healing coming your way....

Arija said...

My dear, we cannot take on another's pain, but we can project our love as protection.
Watch the dust motes in a ray of sun and think how insignificant we are in the scheme of things and yet we are alays loved by the great All that is and so much genuine love comes our way from those near and far. Worry never helped anyone but the sending of love and thoughts of healing certainly do. Accept yourself as you are , warts and all and love that person unconditionally and a way will be shown you.

Get her some stilts someone quick!
I recognise the little head as the same (or similar) to that on your Renee award which graces my side bar when Lola kindly awarded it to me.
Very nice to 'talk' again, Renee; here's a little cuddle, "Ahhh!"

My first thought when I saw this was "how silly we can be" when there is obvious distress or overwork and we don't ask for help. I think I will take this as a message to myself to let others put a step-stool under my legs and help more

Jeanne Estridge said...

Don't forget to look down and notice that your feet aren't so far off the ground...and that we're all here, waiting to catch you.

Nice. Being scared, embarrasssed or too proud to ask for help can land you in a mess!
