Good morning Lovee. Very serene pictures today. I'm feeling like the girl with flowing hair and the balloons today. But my hair does not flow as far, but other parts of me do! I wish you Peace. All my love, Deb

Oh, Renee - is that you taking refuge under the quilt? Who could blame you? A few moments in hiding could really feel good for you about now. I hope YOU are okay.

Thoughts and love to you and your dear ones, Jackie and Sheldon.

I love the earth-quilt in the middle best. I want to just snuggle down under it and stay there. You really have a way with art, Ms. Renee. Thank you for broadening our horizons yet again. Love, Hugs and Blessings, friend of my heart...

Love that middle one, under the blankets, the moon above. I do hope you're getting your rest these days, Renee, with all that's happening in your life.

Oooh, Renee, let's you and me go climbing in them there pink hills. They are just way too excitorily placid.

Oh, I have always loved balloons! I can just never seem to get the perfect red balloon here! They are either foil and shiny, or else they are small and a kind of dusty red. These fantasy images are so lovely - I can imagine floating away above that quilted landscape, just dreaming, nibbling a chocolate brownie (food is always important, even if you are floating at the end of a balloon and dreaming). PS Thanks so much for your concern Renee - my family and I are all fine, I just sometimes get a little anxious - I inherited the worry-bug from my mom!

UP, UP and away my prayers go for YOU and your family!!! THINKING of YOU!! ((((((Renee))))))

renee, there is an other-world lightness to these three images. i think it's your soul, gently confirming that all is well, that 'reality' is only a surface image of all that we are. where is that balloon heading? does it matter?

xoxo to you today, dear moon sister

These pictures represent where my mind is today: aloof, sleepy and drifting away.

I was supposed to be flying to NYC this evening for the San Gennaro Festival, but it looks like my flight will be delayed for an arrival at 2:30am tomorrow. What a waste. I'm gonna cancel. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Drats, drats, and double drats, o'weather gods and airline scabs!!

Certainly is a great fantasy Friday!
Love the blob man in the balloon, so funny.

I can never resist pictures of quilts - they are so warm and comforting with lots of love stitched into them. One of my favourite childrens books is "The Quiltmakers Gift' by Jeff Brumbeau and Gail De Marcken.

Hope your weekend is filled with love, laughter, and quilts. Take care, Lisa

You are an artist. Or a gallery owner. Or an artist's agent. Or a historian. Maybe you are all of them!! I love the one where the hippo is in the hot air balloon flying high above the world.

Flying high above the world sounds lovely to me. xoxoxoxox Pam

I like the quilt mountain. And a hot air balloon is always colorful and cheerful!

Hope all is well!

I love that second one ... looks to me someone is pulling up a big big blanket.

Loving these happy colours! Pink does it to me every time! Sending love and a pinch to grow an inch - Actually I just joined weight watches and it's not as horrid as I thought it might be...We'll see. I am thinking that I will float next sunami- all the hard bodies will sink...don't want that!
LOVE YOU

Silke Powers said...

I think that second one is my favorite! It just carries me away... Sending lots of love! Silke

Oh, yes, yes, yes. I do love balloons. I love hot air balloons the best. I get nervous around regular rubber balloons when they're being blown up, though. I hate the POP. Balloon animals, especially, set me off edge. Too much potential for poppage.

Lunch! Aaaah, yes, that is what I often feel like doing after lunch, crawling back into bed and pulling the sheets over my head.

I love you, Renee.

I'm loving the rhythm of those flowing lines in the top photo, and the echo of them below her feet.
Perfect balance.
Always wonderfilled art here, thank you.

Jos said...

Is that you under the quilt Renee? Shove over will you ... there must be room for another under there ...(even a not-very-small-other!)
xx Jos

I love the second painting specially, it is amazing, the "blanket" colors the 3d shape you gave it, the abstract characteristic of the painting, and the overall balance of how you fill the space with things and how you left them empty is really great, personal, artistic.
Congrats for it renee
And I hope you are doing well. Hugs.

The view is great from up here. Have some hot chocolate. xoxoxoxox

these are so free and positive, you are such a fantastic curator, I love the patchwork fields piece.

They are so lyrical and touching.

I know that it feels like you wish you could drift away. Hold on dear soul and drift into the arms of the love at home and the comfort of God, who knows your pain more than any other and has more compassion than our hearts can take. Hold on.

The picture of the quilt reminds me of some work done by the artist daughter of some friends. She took a large patch of ground, divided into squares (like pieces of quilt) and grew something different in each square. Quite an amazing enterprise.

Woman in a Window said...

That first one reminded me of something that just happened to me. Monday night. Are you outside? Look up!

I was out for a walk and tossed my head back on a bridge to take in the sky and it felt like I tangled in the milky way. Renee, I've never seen a sky like tonight. Go out. go out~
