So true! Though I have to admit - sometimes I think that I would take money over love! I know, I know...but some days, it would just be nice to be able to jump on an airplane and take off to where ever without having to save up for it!
But love is good! Yes indeedy!
Happy weekend dear Renee.
Love to you (I do love you more than money, I must admit!)

This is so true - if only more people felt this way.

I hope you have a lovely day, dear Renee.

Snowbrush said...

Ah, but what if you colored the heart black and made the dollar sign a nice cuddly pink?

Rosaria Williams said...

No longer a comparison, Renee. Money wins hands down. Only after we lose our hearts, we think about the consequences of our choices.

Re my eyes: No. I do not have cataracts; just a rhetorical problem for most people my age. My husband has had so many health issues that I know it will be just a matter of time when I'm hit. He's just a couple of years ahead of me.

I do hope you're warming up and enjoying the outdoors. Wish your Nathan the best from me. He will love teaching; he'll be tired and worn out and frustrated, but he will love every minute.

Oh, I love it! I need that plastered on my forehead. I hope you have a warm, sunny day today.

You know what those girls are like-say one thing and mean another. Tell them that summer came to London but has now gone again. Today we have rain and clouds.
I am attempting to paint faces on two dolls I am making and so far they are hilariously bad! My brother and Andy are playing scrabble and watching The Outlaw Josey Wales so we are having quite a cosy day.
Hope summer visits you soon!

so true -- but the heart is bleeding...

Yes, our bleeding hearts came up a few weeks ago, but they're fading now. They're so pretty, I wish they'd bloom all summer. Before I started taking flower photos, I never realized how short some of the blooming seasons are for so many things. Now that I know it, I appreciate their beauty even more.

How's the weather in Manitoba? I was born in Alberta, but we moved to Ontario when I was still a baby.

I have not heard of word scraper. I will look into it then tell Andy. I have to say I am not keen on scrabble-Andy plays it on the computer or with my brother or my mum. I get cross with scrabble-I think because I am not very good at it!

I love the simplicity and truth in that.

We are in agreement on this one!

I always hear people profess that money can't buy you happiness. I quite agree with that statement, but with a lot of money you can have fun trying!

Hearts and money.... hmmm.
I know we need both to live...
I'd take heart over money but then how would I feed my heart? No spinach? No Protein? No watermelon?

There's many ways to feed a heart I know this is true... I know you feed my heart Renee... You've opened me up more than you'll ever know!
Love to you ~Pattee

duh. even suzie orman says 'people first.' thank god i know this much--where ever else i may be screwed up it's not in the area of love versus money.

i like simple formulas like this, renee. keep em coming please...

ps i am having the best time with mr. ryan. we are laughing non-stop. he is going home with more scratches than he came with--his parents won't like that--but he doesn't mind, and neither do i.

So a bleeding, crying heart is greater than money? :)

Hi Renee! I was trying to think of a new formula, like "heart is greater than money, but money beats the hell out of nothing", but alas, I am not a mathematically inclined person. Hope you have are having a fabulous weekend, full of love and yes (why not!) some money, too! :) xox

Hey Harriet said...

So very true! If only everybody felt that way though. Love is more powerful than any amount of money :)

Sarah said...

You did tellme you liked the banner thanks! I like it too so it is staying a bit longer than some of the others. I think part of my problem with scrabble is that I never win. I don't think I am a bad loser it's just that I like to win sometimes and I can't!

Renee - here's some back atcha - xoxoxoxoxo!!!

Hi Renee,

Your last comments to me: "Angela that is so cool. I didn't know you were a Canadian girl."

Yup! I was born in Canada to German parents, moved to Germany for a while when I was young, and then moved to the US, which has been my home for a long, long time.

I'm a proud German/Canadian/American! I love all three of my homes, and my time in Canada had a big impact on who I am today. I didn't realize just how much until we took our first family vacation to Canada with the kids. I felt so at home again, and it turns out that some of my quirks are just my Canadian childhood showing!

happy sunday dear girl.

Yes, a bleeding heart, full of love is still better than money. Both take a lot of work to achieve, however the riches of a full heart far
exceed all the money in the world.

Hey you! Sorry I havent been able to write much. We dont have internet at the new house yet so I can only check these at moms house. The house is great, definitely different since Im used to living with 6 people in a house. We have gotten a decent amount of boxes unpacked and we have a weeks vacation this week to finish the rest. Im glad you liked my drawing, a lot of people thought it was morbid. How are you doing lovely lady? Thank you for being so supportive, I have a smile on my face every time I get a message from you. You are the bestestest! xo

Renee,
I could not find a way to email you privately, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your blog this morning and it inspired me so much I wrote about you on my blog. I hope my feeble attempts to brighten your day do. I am no writer, and am not the artist I wish I was, but I just had to say something to you. You are amazing and I felt an immediate kinship as soon as I read a few posts in your blog.I read back through february and will read all of it as soon as I can. I was just responding to people who posted to my blog, and then I was just dumbstruck by you.
I hope you are having a fantastic weekend and thank you for being who you are.

YayaOrchid said...

Yep, that makes sense too! :)
Hope you're having a great weekend Renee!

Interesting Renee! At first glance I was confused, thinking the images were in reverse.

Hope all is well today.

Renee, I just went back and read back some of the comments section. You asked about the chorizo with potatoes dish. Yes, it is actually considered a breakfast item. But it tastes great for Supper too! Or anytime for that matter.

We did go visit the Grandkids a couple of weeks ago for my oldest GS birthday. I'm sure you know how great it is being a Grandma!!

renee, i don't know how or when you end up at some of the archive posts of mine you do, but i always appreciate that you do. it's another way of 'being known', isn't it? i wonder sometimes how much bleeds through even without words, especially with your eagle eyes and wise perceptions...

love you today and always moon sister...
