these mints remind me of 2 things:
1. Elderly people.
2. Retro Restaurants.

... right now i resent restaurants; but i love elderly people; god bless them, and their mints!

You don't know me
as I have never come before
Something drew me over,
and so I stopped to read a bit.
your site touched me
it is so real.

Elderly people and mints?! Who said that? I'll tell ya what this old broad does with her mints....just ask my man about those curiously strong mints and how they tingle......

A moment of unbearable lightness, leaving a stingy taste in my mouth.

Howdy princess. Is it warm yet? Can you go out without the extra pounds of sweaters and mufflers?

WE are getting sun. Yeah!

Thanks for your sweet thoughts.

KJ, it is what it IS. Don't try to go deep ;)

Renee, this reminds me of a funny story. Brian was reporting for some newspaper somewhere and he had to go to the airport to pick up the right hand assistant to the Pope. This was an important guy. Anyway, Bri's car quickly filled up with that guy's horrendous breath, nearly gagging him for the long drive back.
When Bri got home he told me about it and he said "Don't they have Tic-Tacs at the Vatican?"
I laughed my ass off for days!! We still bring it up.

I hope I made you smile today.
You made me smile...again ;)

We are leaving Thursday beacause my brother died at home the funeral had to be postponed pending a coroner's report. My brother was not a young man, he had his 80th birthday last January, but because we had been through so much together with the ripping apart of our family during the 2nd. WW and loosing our country as well as emigrating and starting with nothing again, family ties were very close. He had such a hard life and had just reached a moment of contentment when he left. It hurts that there was no time for him to even enjoy a little time of contentment.

Everything has been turned up-side-down, because of the later date of the funeral we will also miss our g-daughter's concert in Sydney... Wheneve we make plans, God changes them... I have known this for a long time now and we had learned to take things as they come, but the concert had to be booked for so we foolishly made plans once more, now we hate to disappoint her.

The Prof is a huge support as are my two g-daughters here on the farm. My daughter is in the States at the moment, you might actually enjoy her blog 'not all those who wander are lost' on my blog roll.

By losing a sibling so much of remembrace is lost. He was 8 yrs. oder than I and knew about the early times when I was not even there.

Keep faith dearest Renee, miracles happen even in the eleventh hour.
Whan my cardiologist had literally told me to go home and die, since I needed a heart-lung transplant and no-one would do that at my age, my guardian angel slammed me head first into a wall, knocked me out and broke my pelvis, purely to get me to a doctor who was not prepared to let me die even though my kidneys and liver had already failed. I had my aortic valve replaced and am still here enjoying every moment.

May God keep you in the palm of Her hand and show you the right road.

Love.Love.Love...Arija

Good morning, dear Renee,

I see from your posts that much has happened this week while I've been away from the computer. Much sadness. . .

This post reminds me of a tin of mints my daughter carried around with her a few years ago. On the tin's cover it said "Please have a mint - your breath smells like butt!"

I'm leaving on or about the 28th. It's coming fast.
I'll pack up my computer this wednesday but I bought a laptop to keep in touch with bloggers while I'm on the road ;)

Today I'm going to the valley to spend an afternoon and evening celebrating the summer solstice. I'll be sleeping overnight and have a farewell breakfast with my dearest friends out here.

How many more chemo treatments this round sister raven?

Sending love...

Dear Renee,

i've read and read, your last few posts. i am not the best with words but i want to say that i am humbled and empowered, moved to tears and laughter by you every time. i loved what you wrote about your sister, i'm sure she did too.
i'm sorry for your friend losing her husband, that is so sad.
i thought as i read your cancer manual how i would handle things, and all i could think was i would want to be just like you.
thank you for sharing so much, i pray everyday for your good health and for the good health of our planet too.
much love to you,
lori

Oh, my gosh! You are so on point! I was taught that if someone offers you a mint, don't be rude - you NEED it!

I say to hell with tact; say what you mean.

Hey dude, you gotta booger on your nose.

Hey girlfriend, you hair weave is unbeweavable!

Hey man, your ass stinks. Why don't you spend 50 cents on a bar of soap before you put your $2 ass on the subway.

Fashion Police: "Pull over! You have no right to be wearin' that!"

Hey, Renee!!!!! Hope you have a great weekend. Mine is going well, except I shouldn't have mixed the Benedryl with sitting out in the sun.

I look like a lobster without a brain.

Right now I'm thankful for mints. I think they need to be fortified though, for a few special cases.
