Renee, darling, I am far removed from civilization and lucky to be able to have this visit. Please know that I think of you and you are in my prayers. Take care dearest. be strong and keep the faith and like Katra, continue to see things in color, dream in color, paint in color but draw in black and white pigment ink on Bristol Board! Sorry, I can't linger dear friend...

HAHAHA! I managed to wiggle my way out of fishing. I love the Viking for giving me a free pass. He said I did not have to go. They left very early this morning and by 8:00 o'clock had to come in because they already reached their quota. They caught 34 fish! Now, I don't know if they are bringing home fillets but my son is so proud of his catch and always want me to clean his fish! Ugh! Should I? It is very hot here, extremely hot and I am melting, I am melting...Have a wonderful day sweetheart.

Alas, I have been remiss in my reading and writing lately, and thought compelled to stop by your pad this morning.

I hope you are well. I've hit a writing slump lately, and today I posted a story about bitching about the cleaning lady.

This reminds me of my Polish grandmother...but she had a difficult life and lost her ability to see in color. I never will, but then, I have had a blessed life. Sending you all my love, Deb

Hello there Renee, it takes a special person to see things in colour when so much seems to have been washed out by stress, by tiredness, by worn-downess, by worry over things we can not change. Every day I now pray, something I've not done for years. I ask for you, for Jacquie, for Sheldon, and although your mom is doing so much better I can't bear to drop her from the list! I don't know if prayer works but I pray hard, hope and wish, hold you all in my heart, wish some more ... it might just help. xx Jos

Good morning hon!! I have always been facinated with the concept of perseption and the fact that we all are gifted differently. How we view things and how others do ...thought provoking post hon.
Hope things are going better for all! Jim is home tonight...whooo hoooo!!!

I second Ces's words: keep the faith, and dream in color. Savor life around you, in your children, your grandchildren, the garden, the birds in the sky.

Renee, I'd like to make you some rose quartz earrings or a necklace... whichever you'd prefer. Rose quartz is said to have healing powers. I don;t know about that, but I figure it couldn't hurt. Let me know what you'd like and where I should send it. I would also be happy to send some for the friends you've written about.

Most days I can see things in color. I'm working toward making it every single day. :)

oh the wisdom and experience and acceptance in that face! i wondered what the 24 comments before mine would say and no surprise: we're still all praying for you and loving you and cheering you and that special family of yours on.

imagine a world without color! (ha! sometimes i can imagine that too damn easily, but never when i'm alert and grateful)

btw, 3 and 1 are two of my three favorite numbers. i think that means something today!

smack! and mwah! and tsup!

To always see things in colour means that one has a special light within - which always glows brightly. Renee, there are times I'm sure you feel like your light has dimmed, but my friend, it is still as bright as ever!

Hugs,

Hello Renee - sorry I haven't been to visit for a while. This is a lovely painting - I hope your world will soon be more colourful. I also love your header, by the way. Thinking of you and your family sending a big hug from Malaysia.

Is in her bloody liver now, 8 lesions. Bugger it, the chemo had actually shrunk the lung tumours too, thinking this lot in the liver is the bowel metastised.
Love you too

Colour is good and black and white doesn't really exist except in the minds of the confused :)
... there is always grey

When things get very black try to remember that black is the culmination of 'all colors.'
What you really have is a rainbow, but a quiet one ;)

I cannot imagine a colorless world.
If I were to lose my vision I'd keep the colors alive in my memories.

love, healing thoughts and peace to you and the family.
