Oh, glorious painting! I've had time today to read through the posts I missed and my heart is broken with the latest news about Sheldon. But, as you say, he is a lion...and lions can survive in the wilderness. They can...and he will.
Your Blogland Lane house is just exactly right, Renee, in every possible way. I think I might just move into yours rather than set up mine - I won't get in the way, promise! Tell you what, I can do the cooking when no-one else feels so inclined... On second thoughts, I will build mine because then you can come visit when ever you need a break.
I love Alice Neel and her self-portraits! I should only look so good naked in my 80s! (What's she holding in her hand? A whip? Oh, it's only a brush. . . oh, well. . . Maybe it's to poke out the eyes of rude people who stare?)
Ok, when I first looked I just loved her face and her attitude, but the more I look, I'm not sure what she's doing?? Is she knitting something? Love, Darla♥
Is that a baton on her hand? Is she, perhaps, directing an orchestra in her lovely head? Why, I do believe she is, by jove! Jolly good, jolly good. Keep up the good work!! LMAO! Blessings, Love & Hugs, dearest, funny Renee!!! ;-)
in between your post about Blogland Lane and this one, you have made my night. I have mentioned it before but your blog is witty and never ever despondent despite whatever problems might be affecting you. Many thanks. A normal body, why was I so surprised to see a normal body? Why is it so odd? Great post and fantastic illustration. And as for Blogland Lane, I'm already packing my suitcases. See you soon.
I am finally commenting after following your blog for almost a year. I can't remember how I got here but I am so glad I found you! You are a true gem here in blogland and it seems you have captured the hearts of so many people, especially women. You are truly a giving and loving soul and I enjoyed your banter with some of your blog visitors even though it is difficult to follow your back and forth comments. You are very funny. I admire your boldness.
Alas, for today's post, it is very funny but you should try not to end your sentence in a preposition.
Have a wonderful day. You truly are an admirable and remarkable woman!
I'm looking at a beautiful woman that's cool enough to pose in the nude! How are you? Hows everybody? Sending you my VERY best wishes and Love, Constance

I wish we could all do that, just throw off the wraps that bind us and shout out 'freedom- let me be!' But, then again guess the world's not ready for that. Frightening thought, actually. LOL G'night,all--Lynda

Not again! First it was my bad hair day, and now that drawing that I know it was inspired by a stolen photo of myself is here.
The horror, the horror!
Love you girl, I hope things are a bit calmer. Sending good thoughts and Healing Hopes to all with my love.
She's beautiful. I wonder what she is holding?

She reminds me, a little, in that arch expression, of my mother!
