Lovely You-Tube Video - I wonder if it will ever happen? Eradicate hate and prejudice, now wouldn't that be something? What a wonderful world that would be :-)

Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.

Absolutely. Live with compassion, every day.

How thankful I am for you and for your friendship. It was your wit and thoughtful prose that first attracted me to you, and your compassion that drew me in tight. I am thankful for all the perfect moments you have given me. I love you, Renee.

Oops I wished YOU happy thanksgiving, I forgot you were in Canada. Duh! Hope you're feeling a little better today and there's nothing wrong with a day under the covers.

haha! i'm back again. i didn't click on the youtube video on compassion until just now. gulp. this is what you do best.

so after my abberant error, (heehee, aha, haha) i'm looking at these faces and saying, 'okay, who's gay? who's straight?' and isn't it just great that no stereotypes jump out and say this or that, him or her. and i'm also looking saying, 'okay, who's rich? who's poor? who's sick?
who's runs a marathon?'

we are all family, renee. we are your tribe. you are ours. we feel it, we know it. we have eachother's back. we are our own community. we are a tribe. a freaking, awesome tribe.

thank you universe.

Sweet Renee! As I counted my blessings today it was good for my heart to see a comment from you in my inbox. I am sorry I have been MIA. My SIL was just married and I was a bridesmaid for like the 90th time and with all that and the holidays coming up I've hardly been near the computer. Now today, the meal's all cooked - I've been cooking for about 10 hours - and the duties are all done and I'm sitting here catching up on my own life.

Your blog is like a breath of fresh air. I'm all caught up on the posts I missed and as usual I've cried, laughed out loud and nearly wet my pants and I vow to myself I won't go this long the next time.

I was sorry to read about the loss of your friends. I cannot imagine how hard that must be for you. It is good to hear that Jacquie got some good news, though, the tumor shrinking. I pray the good news continues!

I loved reading about Wahid (and I have say he got lucky....but so did you ;) ) You've been in love longer than I've been on Earth and your love inspires me. 35 years of being in love - WOW! Thanks for sharing your family with us.

Oh, and just so you know, I count you as one of my blesssings, I really do!

Jamie

Dear Renee,

I have discovered your blog recently. Yesterday I went through various of your posts trying to find something related to the "birds circling my head".

I am very impressed with your style and your strength, but I couldn't find any references to those birds...

Anyway, a couple of months ago I bought a drawing from a Brazilian artist. It was love at first sight. I would love you to see what I have now hanging in my bedroom's wall:

Hope you enjoy the illustration!
I wish you all the best!

I looked at the painting that you mentioned and I love it.

Take care.

Oh, Renee, I wish I had read the post before I sent the illustration about heads and birds!

This is such an irony - you trying to get rid of them, trying to stop them from nesting into your hair and I send you just that drawing! I am so sorry about that. I really meant to offer you something cheerful... The thing is: in that drawing I see a connection between human and nature, I see happiness. And that is the message I wanted to convey in sending that picture to you.

But this is me, I guess. I am known among my friends as someone very, very, very clumsy... I promise I will try to be more careful next time
Love, Cláudia.

Renee said...

Dear Claudia:

No problem at all. I never took it in a bad way.

I love and have many pictures similar to your one that I love, and I love birds.

Just in that quote I did not want them to nest.

Thank you for being sensitive, but there is no need at all.

Love Renee xoxo
