A Spoonful Of Dream Honey

My sweet Allegra (Smith) replied to my Soundless Saturday post on ‘truth’ something so amazingly beautiful that I felt that it needed to be shared as a post. I hope that it lifts those of you that need it as much as it did me.

‘I just as well take truth with a spoonful of dream honey, hope sugar and a drop of disbelief.’

‘In my opinion it is best served as tea, with serenity petit fours, cakes of understanding, tolerance liqueur and plenty of disregard napkins.’

‘Depending upon the cook it may be served hot, and then the flavor is bitter or cold and then one doesn’t know what to do with it. Who would have thought that truth could complicate life when coming uninvited and unexpected?’

‘From life to life. Forever.’

Yes dear friend; from life to life, forever. Feel well soon.

Wisdom - so often it comes so late. I had a talk with my father in Germany the other day and once again we both confirmed that with age, hopefully, comes wisdom, but alas, just when we think we have come closest to understanding life's trials and tribulations, the time runs short and we don't get to practice what we learned.

Moral of the story: Life's not fair and it doesn't come with an owner's manual - life's an adventure, not a guided tour!

I love collecting snippets of wisdome (usually from the Celestial tee boxes) and one that said something like that (forgot the exact words):

"I dont want to arrive at my grave site all preserved and beautiful looking, but rather worn out and weather beaten, sliding in sideways, saying: Holy Cow! What a ride."

Isn’t Allegra beautiful? He avatar of Antea by Girolamo Francesco Maria Mazzola is so fitting. A very classy woman she is, Allegra. She is an intellectual, full of wisdom and writes the most beautiful letters. I wish her well and pray for her recovery. She may be in pain yet still struggles to leave words of comfort for others. She is kind and a verbal exchange with her is most satisfying. I love her and I thank her for being a part of my life. Yet she is difficult to capture. I could not for the life of me be satisfied with any nymph drawing I started. I used up about a dozen ATC Bristol boards on her and I am still coming up empty. I even asked her for help. She is a most interesting and fabulous woman, a beautiful enigma. God bless Allegra and you too my dearest. You are peas in a pod!

Hah! The word verif is "menext" how selfish is that?

That's really lovely. And it reminds me of a line from a song I like:
"You're a room full of sorrow, a spoon full of joy."

From life to life, forever.

I once read about a man who vowed to never tell a lie again, not even a white one. If his wife asked if something made her look fat, he told it like it is. He said ultimately, they fight less and their relationship is stronger. I think she just put on a thicker layer of skin and swallows dream honey by the gallon. Glad he feels good about himself, though.

So very lovely, Renee. I introduced my mom to your blog and she finds it so inspiring. She says she doesn't have a way with written words, and couldn't hope to capture the words you put together so eloquently. So I am commenting for her as well. And you do, dear Renee, my mom and I are both so glad to have found your site. God bless you!
