I saw the first image and immediately thought of my eight-year-old daughter. Despite having a strong character (too strong, sometimes, mind :-D) I sometimes see her as a fragile creature. Your first painting reminded me of the dangers ahead of her. And why do I feel like this? Is it because she is a girl and I am man? Because I am - unintentionally - belittling her? I don't feel the same way about my son. Protective, yes, but not overprotective.

It goes to show, just the one image and a myriad thoughts.

Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

I like the middle picture the best. They all make me feel like I am in the middle of a swamp.

Good morning Dear RS...

B) The turtle and the tree have rescued her! (Probably summoned by the ever-watchful fairy.)

L) I believe this fine old gentleman has decided to 'go quietly into the dark good night.'

D) Kathy is amazing with those colored pencils!

This young girl seems to have become an island unto herself.

My Friday 2-cents ;)

love you!
xoxo

I liek that first one. I've decided the turtle has given her a place to rest, and now the kindly tree is lifting her back up.

Beautiful images, Renee, but they make me feel just a bit sad. Thinking of you. Was actually thinking of you yesterday, wondering at your strength, and too, if there was anything I could do besides to lift you up in prayer.

Hello my darling friend, I have not written anything on your blog for a while but I do still come visiting all the time to make sure you are ok..♥

The picture "Island" that you have used here is really special to me.. I drew it about a year after my Father died and the first time my Mother saw it she started to cry... she said it touched her deeply but she couldn't say why, last year I gave it to her as a christmas present and it now hangs above her fireplace...

I have been soaking up every moment that I can with my new little Grandaughter, it's so wonderful, she has given life new meaning...

love to you and all of your family at christmastime..
XOXOXO
