I cannot see the video but I tell you that if an angel told me that I was going to have a baby without having known a man, that angel better give me a maid, a house and a loving, ikind, intelligent, fair, handsome and wealthy husband.

Sting re-popularized this old Victorian carol and I'm glad he did because it is now one of my favourites. But his video for it is kind of ominous and creepy.

Big hug.

Oh boy! Bella says she is going to sing rap and play heavy metal. What does she mean by heavy metal? She is going to bang some All-Clad pots and pans together?

Are you going to have Christmas celebration at your home? Is Josephine excited? I am sure you are not cleaning the turkey pan.

Merry, Merry Christmas Renee!
You are STILL repairing broken dolls, all over these blogs. Did you know that?
I loved that story.
I relate to the 'riches' that you had, and celebrate that it was more than enough.

My dearest Renee,
Thank you for sending me Jacquie’s message. Please tell Jacquie, thank you for me.

My dearest Jacquie,
It would be dumb for me to ask you how you feel hearing about your struggles and coping with grief from the loss of Sheldon. He was an extraordinary and very special man. In his short time on earth and with his very young life he reminded so many of us here on Renee’s blog, the meaning of love for family. He was a picture of courage and great dignity. I especially remember his statement when he told the doctor that he was ready but his family was not. What kind of family is ready and willing to lose a beloved one? I am just a friend and I was not ready. These days when I draw Renee, I think of Sheldon, yes, there is a teardrop somewhere, it’s for Sheldon. While I was drawing Renee, with every squiggle and line I prayed. I prayed that the Lord will tell me the meaning of miracle for Renee and for you dearest Jacquie. I drew you as a butterfly on Renee’s right shoulder.

My dearest Jaquie, thank you very much and as hard as it may seem, please take a moment away from grief and pain and sorrow and celebrate Christmas with your beautiful and loving family. I hope I am not ever so bold to say that I feel in me, the same sensation I have for a sister when I think of you.

My love to your beautiful family. God bless you Jacquie.

Sincerely,
Ces

If my love would be blanket it would wrap you and Jacquie tight and warm, keep you from the storm and give you all the health you need, good and strong, filled with laughter and merriment.

Happy Christmas my darling, I see my comments are still missing, but it doesn't matter. You know I am here every day, as I am always as far as the reach of your right hand. Here, a sweet French macaron
with your tea, now tell me what do want to do today.

Such a beautiful song - but the most entertainment I got from reading the comments, especially those by Ces and Manon! You had me laughing out loud! I'm with you - I'd need a lot of help if I suddenly and magically found myself with child... And a hot husband doesn't hurt... Wishing you everything that's in your big and bold heart! Much, much love, Silke

Wishing you a magical holiday, and sending you my love and well wishes. Thank you for your blogging friendship...these are always my most treasured gifts. Of all of the 'Christmas Classics' I am very surprised that this one by Sting is never noted as such. Sad.

Anyways Renee, I came by here tonight to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with Hope, Peace and above all, Faith. Without which, we may just as well pack our bags and walk away. There is still too much life left to just walk away.

RNSANE said...

I laughed at Ces' comment! The song really made the spirit of Christmas hit home.

I hope you are feeling a bit better, dear Rene...so that you can enjoy Christmas.

I have looked for Sting's interpretation of this song forever. I know it exists in YouTube but I have not been able to find it on a CD. Thank you for posting it. I will repost it to my own blog. WIshing you much love and serenity and magic.

I am all in favor of a hot man who is intelligent and considerate and loving and tall and I don't even mind sharing him with Manon and Bella. I just hope his wings don't get in the way.
