Renee, that was so sweet, and soft, and sugary too.

Thinking I need a tree right now!

Be well.

There is nothing as sweet as seeing the magic and wonder of Christmas reflected in an innocent child's eyes. Brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eyes every time.

Hugs and love,

Thanks for the little movie. I enjoyed it. I sent a Christmastree to my dad in Germany this year. I crocheted a table top tree for him and his wife. I hope they will enjoy it.

Have a blessed day Renee!

Doris

Beautiful tree and I think the best way to enjoy Christmas is like a child...living in the moment. Hugs to you Renee!

renee, my tree is leaning against the house, soon to come in, and maybe soon to be decorated.

what i like most of all is getting up in the early morning, turning the lights on, and breathing in the scent of evergreen.

i am leaving out the part about stringing the lights on every year and within minutes watching a fuse blow out at least one set. i am also leaving out the part where i swear very loud and want to throw the g.d. tree right out the window.

xoxo

HAHAHA, the word verf. is messa.
that too will come and i will complain about that too. :)

Oh Renee! i loved it! now i am really in the Christmas spirit, i saw ducks waddling and gingerbread men twiriling, i saw mr. potato head and i even saw some knitting by mrs. clause!

i only have one problem, i don't have a tree yet and i refuse to pay 50.00 for a tree off the lot, so i'm going to wait and see if kj really does throw hers out the window and i'm gonna grab it. do you think this is a good plan?

love to you,
lori

My favorite Christmas tree scene is the one from Chevy Chase Xmas Vacation where he cuts the string on the tree and blows out the living room window. hahaha! Now I have to go watch that movie. :) xoxox Pam

PS I still remember hanging the tinsel on the tree when I was little. Magical stuff! :)

This year, I won't be home for Christmas. So, I am SO enjoying not putting any decorations up.

Here's why. I have two large (11x17) hand drawn pictures of Christmas trees by each of my grandchildren. They are both framed and on easels flanking an old green china tree, lit from the inside, that I had as a child. In front is a little three dimensional tree my son made. On either side of this are small wax lambs that belonged to my mother. Every morning, I have my coffee right next to them and see them all the day long as I pass by.

When everyone is here, Christmas decorations kick into high gear and there is glitz and sparkle hanging from the rafters and hustle and bustle and good food smells.

As I've gotten older, I appreciate those quiet times by the three tabletop trees more and more. And I like having those two perspectives.

Which do I like better? All our Christmas trees. Because all the generations of my family are children together for that small moment in time.

I just wanted to share one of my traditions with you. I think about you often, especially when I am sitting by the trees and knowing how much you are enjoying Chirstmas unfolding around you.

xoxo right back at you

Oh I can't wait for grandchildren...to have the wonder and miracle back in Christmas. To have little footed pajama people running around asking for "shmellows" in their hot chocolate.
