It is one of the best Christmas songs. It's one that brings me close to tears.

This is my favorite Christmas song, Renee. I always cry when I hear it; the beauty of its melody and words is so pure and true. Kind of like you. Thinking of you and praying that today will be a good day.

I love this version. Silent Night is one of my favorites, although Reba McIntyre's The Christmas Guest always makes me cry. **kisskiss** Deb

That was amazing, Renee. The last picture of Jesus knocking at the door....my mother has had that framed picture since I was 12 years old. She bought me a set of Bible Story Books and the picture came with them. God Bless You, dearest, precious friend. I love you. Blessings!

one of the most touching carols ever. i know that when you ask 'how are you', you mean it, but then you are very rare my love. is this going to be a sad xmas without sheldon? or a happy one cos jacquie is there?

The artwork alone should steer anyone and everyone to take time out and allow the magic of this time of year in...if only a smidgen.

So beautiful and peaceful. What a voice that girl has! :) This song always reminds me of singing in the church choir at Christmas. And no, I did not pinch the boy next to me, although I think he deserved it. That is another story. :))) xoxoxo Pam

Now I can see the video. I cannot see these videos in the daytime because I am at work and I use my personal device to read your posts and comments. Now that I have seen it, I cannot believe you have this one. I have the complete Millennium album of Nana Mouskouri. She is fantastic. She sings Malaguena and Granada. She sings in several languages, English, French, German, Greek, Spanish. Her voice is an angel's voice! Thank you for reminding us of the beautiful things in life Renee.

LDWatkins said...

So beautiful, just fills you with a sense of peace. I don't know where you find the images and music, you just do. Thank you.

Ces Adorio said...

Renee, most often I feel like I grew up in the same house with you! You know what I am talking about and I understand you (even though I tease you a lot).

LDWatkins said...

Oh, Renee, Lisa is doing so well thanks to all the prayers. You are an angel to ask..your plate is so full, yet you ask of others. I do believe you may be an angel. love to you, dear one!

Sarah Sullivan said...

The song of course a favorite! The painting..wow! I love that the angels are implied. Beatuiful painting ...love this one!
Hugs to you hon!! Love, Sarah

Damn, Renee, you must have more awards than there ARE awards. How did you manage that? I got an award once for the world's stupidest blog, but I didn't post it because I was afraid somebody might think I was vain, and you know I'm not vain, much.

renee, if there is any song that lifts me to the spirit of christmas, this is it.

somehow when i listen to silent night i become the little girl i was and the woman i am all at the same time. i feel god within me. i forgive my own sins and the sins of others. i feel at peace.

as always, moon sister, thank you. a song a day until christmas: oooh.

xoxo

There are some things it seems people are just born to do. Nana Mauskouri has THE voice to sing Silent Night, doesn't she! It weaves hope, love and peace together and sends it right to the soul.

Thanks for sharing, sweet thing.

x0x0 right back at you
