The Great Liberator

I’d like to be known as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace….I would like to be a person remembered as a person who, first and foremost, did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process.

~ George W. Bush ~

er, what about the part about committing treason to start a needless war that’s killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and left a country with little electricity and sewage running in the streets, Great Liberator.

Is there a story behind the picture of the Marine and the beautiful girl? I mean besides the obvious.

Yaya: I don't know the official story. The picture speaks volumes to me. To me this is what war is and I don't think people want to see it. But we need to be reminded.

Thanks for posting this touching photo, Renee.
I also would like to know more about this young marine. I'd love to know his story.

did you hear the quotes from his (GWB) interview with Charlie Gibson, essentially he would like a "do-over". A DO-OVER. fool.

Hi Renee, I tend to agree with what you are saying. Right now though it is almost Christmas and I wanted to say to you, lets feel our hearts with hope and love and enjoy each day. I wish you a happy day and all wishes to come true. Take care and I am going to change and get ready for class. TaTa

Meg: You just gave me the shivers big time. Stupidity is a very dangerous thing.

No worry, Renee. I just get a bit spring loaded sometimes being from a military family and all the experience that brings with it.
I respect and understand your view.
Take care of yourself. I've been thinking about you these last few days. My Dad had colon cancer and went through some tough chemo, and BEAT it. You were a topic on my blog yesterday!

Renee,
I am losing it. Don't have a clue about the toy. Was it the Archie McPhee link? If it was, it was just a demo/example of my new ability to link!!
Got anything to cure procrastination?
I have done everything I can to avoid starting on that racecar painting. Geeez.

I remember his story being on Tv. For a while he was quite alot in our minds. First, his burns in the war over that little sheep land, I think? By I am hazy about this. When he got married he was on the TV again. He is such a beautiful person, totally a star.
Thank you so much Renee for your message. Lovely, your a total star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
